The ARS-200 series of Analog Output Kits are an upgrade for a common scientific instrument that is used in environmental, industrial, and research chemical laboratories: These popular GCs are no longer manufactured or supported by the Hewlett Packard (HP) service organization. There are an estimated 30,000 units in use today around the world. When they were first introduced in the 1970s they pioneered the concept of an entirely self contained analytical instrument under digital control of a microprocesser. Today their weakness is that they have no provision to deliver their data to an external PC based data system for processing or archive. The ARS 200 series analog output kits were designed to remedy this deficiency. They produce a high resoulution analog voltage that tracks the chromatographic signal which can then be processed by all modern chromatagraphic data systems. Our typical customer has a laboratory with one or more gas chromatographs and who intends to computerize its data handling capacity. They do this for any number of practical reasons; for example: improved analytical flexibility and precision for difficult analyses, increased productivity, reliable data storage and retrieval, automated report generation, unattended operations, quality control, modernization, Etc. If they have one of these ‘Legacy’ GCs and want to incorporate it into their system they must use our kit. There is no other means available to do this, either from Hewlett Packard or any other source. The kits ars easy to use with everything the user needs to install it themselves. Expensive technical assistance is seldom required. They are a very cost-effective alternative to the purchase of new, computer-compatible GCs costing ten to twenty times as much as the kit. The kit will often pay for itself in less than six months throughincreased productivity. |
